Behind that statement was a building dissatisfaction with the corporate world and the growing knowledge that it was time for a change. I wanted to do something meaningful, not just something that was building shareholder wealth.<\/p>\n<p>A year and a half later, I find myself looking back at the journey I have taken joining a nonprofit and helping to build out <a title=\"CURE International\" href=\"http:\/\/cure.org\/\">CURE International<\/a>\u2018s web presence on the WordPress platform. I believe that <a title=\"CURE International\" href=\"http:\/\/cure.org\/\">cure.org<\/a> represents that excellence that I desired to be a part of.<\/p>\n<p>I hope you will join me on Friday as I talk about CURE\u2019s journey to WordPress in the session titled, &#8220;WordPress for the Greater Good.&#8221; I will be talking about the world\u2019s first social sponsorship platform (<a href=\"http:\/\/cure.org\/curekids\" target=\"_blank\">cure.org\/curekids<\/a>), as well as making an announcement that I believe will benefit the WordPress community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About a year and half ago, I was sitting in a job interview expressing my desire for excellence in the work that I do.
