New to working with WordPress, and you’re not exactly sure what a WordCamp is? A WordCamp is a low-cost or no-cost event, usually held on a weekend where WordPress enthusiasts can get together to meet one another, and learn more about how to get the most out of WordPress.
In 2011, WordCamp San Francisco (WCSF) was one of 52 WordCamps held around the world. WordCamps are held from Austin, Texas to Auckland, New Zealand. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and everybody has at least one thing in common: a love of WordPress.
At WordCamp San Francisco, were were fortunate to have a great line up of speakers in 2011. The finale, each year at WCSF is the State of the Word address, where Matt Mullenweg, co-founding developer of WordPress, talks about upcoming WordPress developments and answers questions from the audience. If you didn’t get a chance to see the State of the Word last year, here’s a recording of Matt’s talk.
Looking forward to seeing you at WordCamp San Francisco, 2012!
