    Our project’s philosophical tenets can be found at “>wordpress.org/about/philosophy/. We should review these, as they haven’t been touched in years, and assure they make sense, are agreed upon by the community, and if anything needs to be amended to them.

    There’s also core development philosophical foundations that aren’t listed here: our commitment to backwards compatibility, accessibility, no-Javascript support, PHP version support, etc. What are our definitive reasons for caring about these issues, and where should we place these very important presumptions about the project?

    A separate, more fine-grained development philosophy would probably go a long way.

    I am not so worried about taking another look at project philosophies, but development philosophies would be a good conversation.
